🔥 Spicy Baked Fish with Tabasco Pepper
Ingredients:
-
4 white fish fillets (like tilapia, cod, or haddock)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
1–2 tsp Tabasco sauce (adjust to taste)
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
Optional: ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (for extra heat)
-
Fresh parsley or cilantro (for garnish)
-
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with foil or lightly grease it.
-
Make the spicy marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together:-
Olive oil
-
Lemon juice
-
Tabasco sauce
-
Garlic
-
Smoked paprika
-
Salt and pepper
-
(Optional cayenne for serious spice lovers)
-
-
Marinate the fish:
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Place them in the baking dish. Spoon or brush the spicy marinade over the fillets, coating them well. Let sit for 10–15 minutes if you have time (helps the flavor soak in). -
Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. -
Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges on the side. Pairs well with rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp salad.
🔧 Tips & Variations:
-
For extra flavor, add thin lemon slices or onion rounds under the fish.
-
You can broil for the last 2 minutes for a slightly charred top.
-
Want smoky depth? Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or a bit of chipotle Tabasco.
